Glencroft was founded in 1987 by Richard and Justina Sexton to create classic British countrywear made from natural fibres such as British Wool, Harris Tweed and sheepskin. Based in a 200-year-old converted cow barn in Clapham, in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, they design timeless pieces inspired by rural life—from Yorkshire flat caps and chunky knitwear to hand-finished British sheepskin rugs.
Their philosophy remains unchanged: responsibly sourced materials, quality craftsmanship and products made to last—nothing fancy, just honest, “proper” clothing. With roots in the wool and sheepskin industry dating back to the 1960s, they continue to work with some of the few remaining traditional mills across the North of England.
