Lily Pearmain creates beautiful woodfired ceramics from her London studio. Originally from Norwich, Lily is inspired by British Studio Pottery and her pieces celebrate the marks of making and touch of the hand. All of her clays and glazes are sourced in the UK and often feature locally sourced kiln and hearth ash in her glazes.
The Red Stripe Mug is thrown in a red stoneware clay and decorated with bold stripes of white porcelain slip, then finished with a nico glaze, producing a muted palette of green and deep brown.
