Charl Knitwear was created by knitwear designer Frankie Davies after working 20 years designing for other luxury fashion brands. They focus on heritage craftsmanship, often taking inspiration from fisherman knits and techniques. Frankie also works hard to create everything as ethically and sustainably as possible.

The Middleton gets its namesake from Gansey Jumper knitter, Sally Middleton of Upper Sheringham. Sally was the only woman known to have worn a finished version of the gansey jumper which tended to be worn by the menfolk of the village.
