Sarah Horlock is an archaeologist turned potter based in Norwich. Her inspiration comes from patterns and landscapes in archeological scans and enjoys experimenting with her ceramic practice by using techniques such as raku to fire her ceramics.
A small wheel-thrown stem vase made from a lightly iron-flecked stoneware clay and hand decorated with a wax resist and copper oxide design and finished in glossy white glaze. From Sarah’s ‘Frostworks’ collection, which are inspired by earthworks emerging from the melting snow and frost on her walks in Norwich.
Measuring approximately 11cm tall and 5cm across.
