Charl Knitwear was created by knitwear designer Frankie Davies after working 20 years designing for other luxury fashion brands. They focus on heritage craftsmanship, often taking inspiration from fisherman knits and techniques. Frankie also works hard to create everything as ethically and sustainably as possible.
A beautifully, billowy shaped jumper with a funnel neck to keep the wind out and flared funnel sleeves, a direct inversion of the original Gansey jumpers which has tight rib knitted cuffs and wide armholes. Made from 100% British wool.
The jumper is an ode to Jimmy "Chibbles" Bishop, a Sheringham man who came from a long line of fisherman. His Gansey was made by Esther Nurse, A much admired knitter.
