Charl Knitwear was created by knitwear designer Frankie Davies after working 20 years designing for other luxury fashion brands. They focus on heritage craftsmanship, often taking inspiration from fisherman knits and techniques. Frankie also works hard to create everything as ethically and sustainably as possible.

This style is rich in heritage stitches like “herringbones” and fishing nets or “meshes” which I have translated into three-dimensional cable stitches so that they really stand out. The Jimmy is named after Jimmy “Tar” Bishop who came from a large Sheringham fishing family in Norfolk.
